How we test and prepare our devices
We follow strict ISO 9001 certified processes to ensure every machine meets our high standards before it reaches the shop floor.
1. Secure Data Wiping
Before anything else, storage is erased through our documented data-wiping process. If a drive cannot be reliably erased or tested, it is removed from sale stock and handled through the appropriate secure-destruction route.
2. Hardware Diagnostics
We run comprehensive hardware stress tests checking the processor, RAM, and storage drive for faults. We also test all ports (USB, HDMI, audio), networking (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth), and verify the health of the battery.
3. Repair & Upgrade
Any failing components are replaced with high-quality parts from our stock. We clean internal cooling fans, replace thermal paste where necessary, and frequently upgrade older hard drives to fast SSDs to ensure modern performance.
4. Screen & Input Check
Laptops undergo careful physical checks. We inspect screens for dead pixels or pressure marks, test every single key on the keyboard, verify touchpad tracking and buttons, and check webcam and microphone functionality.
5. Fresh Installation
We install a fresh, clean copy of the operating system (usually Windows 10 or 11) with all the latest updates and correct hardware drivers. No bloated software or old user profiles — just a fast, ready-to-use system.
6. Final QA & Cleaning
Before listing, the machine is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. We accurately record its cosmetic condition and specifications for the shop listing. Only then is it approved for sale with our 12-month standard warranty.
